Kimberly J. Wind has been in the field of construction law since 1990. She started at the law firm of Thorsnes, McGuire, Bartolotta, and Padilla as a law clerk and then expanded her career to become a partner in the law firm of Silldor, Shinnick & Duignan in 1998, where she managed both the Orange County and Las Vegas Offices (Wind & Associates.)
Ms. Wind graduated from the University of San Diego School of Law with honors. She graduated in the top 15% of the School of Journalism from Pennsylvania State University, and won a national scholarship from Washington D.C. (Presidential Classroom). She is licensed to practice law in California and Nevada. Ms. Wind has assisted in collecting over 55 million dollars in the construction industry from 1992 to 2003. Ms. Wind has obtained a trial verdict in the field of construction in the amount of 5.1 million in 1994 in San Diego. Ms. Wind specializes in construction litigation having taken over 500 depositions in the fields of construction (architects, structural engineers, geotechnical engineers, civil, mechanical, delay, and electrical engineers). She has also litigated environmental, oil plume, (CERCLA), toxic mold cases, product liability, personal injury and in the field of business law - real estate, broker/dealer and trade secret misappropriation.
Ms. Wind has published over 25 articles in the field of construction which have been published in the San Diego Union Tribune, CASD Trial Bar News, The Legal Perspective, Condo Management Magazine, and the Orange County Bar Magazine. Ms. Wind has spoken or chaired over 25 educational programs in the field of construction law and civil litigation for the Nevada Trial Lawyers, CAOC, OCBA, University of Las Vegas, and CACM/CAI and the Engineering Contractors Association.
