The California Division of Occupational Safety and Health (Cal/OSHA) protects workers and the public from safety hazards and also provides consultative assistance to employers.

Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), part of the U.S. Department of Labor, requires employers to provide a safe workplace free of serious hazards and in compliance with OSHA safety and health standards.
